Holiday Fest
Holiday Fest has become quite a tradition at Hohmeyer's Lake Clear Lodge and Adirondack Alps Experience! As a member of the Adirondack Community for at least 4 generations, the Hohmeyer family started this as a way to say thanks to the community that has supported us throughout the years. It has grown to a mutual celebration!

Winterfest at the Adirondack Alps

Enjoy an outdoor activity along with your "Supp & Snooze" Package. Choose your "Supp & Snooze" Lodging and add the activities you like to do. We will assist in helping you plan your weekend fun!

Prices below are approximate and will be confirmed upon reservation as some activities need to be confirmed with outside venues and service providers.

All packages include the "Supp & Snooze" package, your chosen adventure, and a backpack of hot chocolate and Lodge winter trail munchies (or choose to enjoy it by the fire when you return)

Wine & cheese and/or a back pack lunch complete with custom back pack, blanket lunch may be added****. Also ask about our "Stews on the Stove" made just for you!

We assist in booking them as a convenience to our guests and hope that they are a positive experience in your overall stay. While we know all the properties that provide the proven activities suggested, The Lodge and its staff can not be responsible for cancellations, variations or changes to the venues or for the experience of your chosen activity.

"Winter Passport" to the
Lake Placid Olympic Venues

Includes a day at the Olympic Venues in nearby Lake Placid. Add to any stay for only $39/pp!!! Your Lake Placid "Winter Passport" will be here at The Lodge when you arrive. The Winter Passport includes: One unforgettable Cloudsplitter gondola ride, one cross country day pass at the Verizon Sports Complex and admission to the sliding track, admission to the MacKenzie-Intervale Ski Jumping Complex including the skydeck observation area atop the 120-meter tower, admission to the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Museum and three-time admission to public skating on the Sheffield Speed skating Oval.

Discount coupons for a bobsled ride, ORDA Store merchandise and more are available with passport purchase. Cost is $39-49/per person based on date of stay. Passport valid December 21 thru March 9, 2005

Cross-Country Skiing or Snowshoeing

Glide or mush through the snow on groomed or back-country trails, stop and "listen" to the winter woods.

Approximately $15 per person additional

Winter Horseback Riding

Includes one hour of riding plus instruction prior to your ride through the crisp snow. Additional time can be added.

Approximately $50 pp additional

Sleigh Riding

Sleigh Rides, Fireplace Cauldron Stews, Ice Bocks, Ice Wines and smoked samplers -its Winterfest in the Adirondack Alps @ Hohmeyer's Lodge on Lake Clear. Click here for more information.

Ski Jouring

Try Skijoring - A Unique Winter Fun Activity. We are happy to arrange a Skijoring Experience for you. Stay here on The Lodge property or travel to trails in nearby St Regis Falls. By prior arrangement - Fun for the whole family Click here for more information.

Snowmobile Tours

Includes one hour of snowmobiling through the "Great Woods" with or without a guide. Additional hours may be added. Helmet and instruction provided. You must have a valid driver's license.

Approximately $50 - 100 per person.

Downhill Skiing

Includes a day ticket or night skiing at a great family mountain called Titus Mountain (www.titusmountain.com), which is 25 minutes away. You must have or rent ski equipment. We have another small family mountain nearby called Mount Pisgah. Both Titus and Pisgah also have snow tubing!

Titus Mountain has an overall elevation of 1350ft., a vertical drop of 1200ft., and a longest run of 3.5 miles. With 26 Trails, from the beginner to the expert, Titus Mountain has the terrain for all types of skiing. Ski Titus Mountain, and enjoy the majestic beauty of an Adirondack Winter!

Occasionally our guests also visit Whiteface Mountain which is a 45 minutes drive (25 minutes the other side of Lake Placid).

On a rainy day visit the "Adirondack Room" at the public library or visit Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake or Lake Placid annual events listings for the Theatre, shows at Pendragon or concerts at Lake Placid Center For The Arts, or enjoy a "Craft Trail", antique or visit historic places nearby. There is always something to do to enjoy your visit to the Adirondacks!
