Friday Sleigh & Old World Tavern Nite

Friday Sleigh & Old World Tavern Nite is a celebration of the original function of the Lodge when it was built in 1886 by Chef Cathy (Fisher-Otis) Hohmeyer's family as an inn and stagecoach stop. A horse drawn sleigh takes you through our 25 acres of trails to the shores of Lake Clear in the window of the St. Regis Wilderness region. In a quintessential fusion that is the hallmark of our Adirondack Alps cuisine, Friday Old World Tavern Nite is a combination of Adirondack pioneering tastes from Cathy's family and Ernest's Old World roots of European Gausthauses where winter dinners were served in the basement fireplace "Rathskeller" - "pub style". We will fire up the Lodge smoker and on the Rathskeller fireplace make a caldron Hunter's Stew. You may immerse yourself in Sampler Wheels of Winterfest Brews & Spirits from our handcrafted Wine & Bier Keller of ice-bocks and ice wines. Other Old World Tavern Nite tastes may include a unique Adirondack Alps Dipping shooters from Old world cheeses to Hohmeyer sauces and From our smoker, Smoked Tasting Flights from winter fish to Adirondack game - from mild to hot. To make our new Friday Old World Tavern Nite fun & relaxing we will have music from Steve Borst.

As each evening is personalized, please give us a call before you head out to our different world of the Adirondack Alps.
