1886 Lodge B&B Rooms

Within our 1886 Lodge are four guest rooms all with private baths and unique personalities. Lovingly named Pine Room, Birch, Canopy and Country, they are symbolic of our unique Old World and Adirondack ambience that is representative of our Adirondack Alps experience. Depending on the room:

• Each has an antique desk and other original pieces, European tapestries and antique paintings decorate the walls.
  
• Have all been touched by the Hohmeyer family with care and include a king or queen style bed.
  
• All have a private tub/bath combination or wonderful other amenities such as hand-tiled soaking tubs or hydrotherapy steam showers for 2!
  
• All have direct access to our 1886 main Lodge home of the Adirondacks Alps culinary experience with hand-hued dining room, a Rathskeller with immense stone fireplace that serves as a place to relax (and where Ernest explains the evenings fare), the Adirondack's only handcrafted Wine & Bier Keller with over 100 old world biers and 125 boutique wines.
  
• Chef Cathy Hohmeyer's famous full breakfast awaits you every morning and is included each night of your stay.

The smell of homebaked goods and fresh ground coffee will wake you in the morning. An early morning walk to the lake might find the resident loons, take a paddle or cross country ski before breakfast or an early morning jog down the country road. In the evening enjoy the woodburning fireplace in the Rathskeller and a game of chess on our 3 foot table.

Pine: A corner room crafted in knotty pine with a handmade birch bark mirror and birch covered bed. This room is a spacious "inn room" with large windows on 2 walls. It has a king bed and a new "designer bath" with tub/shower combo.

Canopy: This room gives you a feel of our European Heritage. A King Canopy bed nestles you within its cozy down mattress. This is a corner room, with large windows on 2 walls and is accented with gold and black. The bath has a tub/shower combo.

Country: A room with a wonderful "double-seater" steam shower. It is like a sauna within a large shower unit. Use it as a shower only, "sauna" only or combine the two. The bed is queen size. A great room to come back to after some hearty outdoor activity. Curtains separate the bedroom and bathroom.

The Birch Room: This room is a wonderfully unique room with a tiled deep soaking tub (a tub that is longer and deeper than a standard tub) and has a wonderfully different above counter sink. There is a beautiful "woodsie" mural on the "window" wall with real birches making a self canopy bed that "connects you with the outside while being in". It is decorated in rich green and purple hues and highlights the Adirondack hummingbird. Curtains separate the bedroom and bathroom.
