"We feature a unique combination of Old World recipes, passed down from my husband's European Family who ran Guesthaus' in the 1600's, blended with Adirondack dishes from one of the oldest families here in the Adirondacks who served travelers on the stage coach line. Meats are hand cut, stocks are made from scratch, breads and desserts are baked in our ovens, herbs are grown in the garden outside. Many of the tables are set with real silver and antique wine glasses.

It is as much about the experience as it is the food. Begin in the rathskeller in front of the grand fireplace where the menu is personally explained to you and your guests. Retreat to the main dining room where the table is yours for the duration of the evening, or if you wish, go witness an unforgettable sunset and watch the loons on secluded Lake Clear, where Einstein chose to vacation years before. At our home, your timing is yours."

Offered to Lodge Guests Only:
Before you even arrive, let us know if you are interested in a fondue on arrival or "Lodge Stew on the Stove". We have great picnic backpacks for 2-6 that holds your lunch (or dinner - you never know), utensils and plates and even a good bottle of wine for what ever day during your stay that you would like. As a Lodge Guest, you are welcome to have your dinner in the dining room, get up and see the sunset and come back for dessert and coffee later if you wish. It's our home and you are our guest!
